Planting Crew Foreman

Landon’s Greenhouse is seeking an experienced and motivated Planting Crew Foreman to oversee and participate in tree, shrub, and landscape planting operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing a planting crew, ensuring quality workmanship, and completing projects efficiently and safely. This is a full-time, year-round position for the right candidate. Working mostly Monday through Friday with overtime available during the main season, and some weekends occasionally.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and supervise planting crews in the installation of trees, shrubs, and other landscape materials

· Perform hands-on planting, grading, mulching, staking, and general landscape installation tasks

· Read and interpret planting/design plans, work orders, and job specifications

· Ensure proper planting techniques, spacing, and soil preparation are followed

· Train, mentor, and motivate crew members to maintain high standards of productivity and quality

· Operate and oversee the safe use of tools and equipment (skid steers, augers, hand tools, etc.)

· Monitor job progress and communicate timelines, material needs, and issues to management

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times

· Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting plants and materials

· Perform general landscaping and nursery-related duties as needed throughout the year

Qualifications & Skills

· 2 years prior experience in landscaping, planting, or nursery operations required

· Previous crew leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred

· Strong knowledge of tree and shrub planting best practices

· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round

· Physically able to perform manual labor, including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods

· Strong communication and organizational skills

· Ability to lead by example and work well as part of a team

· Valid driver’s license required

· Have great customer service skills and maintain customer confidence through communication

Landscape Installation Crew Member

Landon’s Greenhouse is looking for a motivated Landscape Installation Crew Member to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, being outdoors, and creating beautiful landscapes from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

· Install plants, trees, shrubs, and hardscape materials according to landscape plans

· Assist with grading, soil preparation, mulching, and planting

· Operate hand tools and basic power equipment safely and efficiently

· Load, unload, and transport materials to and from job sites

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

· Work as part of a team to complete projects on time and to quality standards

What We’re Looking For

· Strong work ethic and positive attitude

· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

· Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform manual labor

· Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

· Willingness to learn new skills and follow directions

· Previous landscaping or construction experience is a plus, but not required

Nursery Department

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Seasonal Full-Time General Laborer to support daily operations in our Nursery Department. This role involves hands-on work with plants, outdoor merchandise, and customer support in a fast-paced, outdoor retail environment. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and being part of a team that helps customers create beautiful gardens and landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist with receiving, unloading, and moving nursery stock, soil, mulch, and other materials

· Water, care for, and maintain the appearance and health of plants

· Load plants and materials into customer vehicles safely and efficiently

· Keep nursery areas clean, organized, and well-stocked

· Set up, maintain, and rotate plant displays and seasonal merchandise

· Support customers by directing them to products or staff as needed

· Operate basic tools and equipment such as hand trucks, carts, and hoses

· Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

· Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

· Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

· Dependable, punctual, and able to work a full-time seasonal schedule

· Ability to follow directions and work well independently or as part of a team

· Previous nursery, landscaping, or garden center experience is a plus, but not required

· Have great customer service skills and maintain customer confidence

Work Environment
