Perennial Manager
Landon’s Greenhouse is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Perennial Manager to oversee all aspects of our perennial plant department. This hands-on leadership role for someone passionate about plants, highly organized and committed to maintaining exceptional plant quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage daily operations of the perennial department, including plant care, ordering, merchandising and inventory control
· Ensure optimal plant through proper watering, fertilization, pruning and pest management
· Maintain visually appealing displays that encourage sales and reflect seasonal availability
· Train, supervise and support team members within the department
· Assist customers with plant selection, care advice and troubleshooting
· Track inventory and sales using Excel and internal systems
· Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth overall greenhouse operations
Qualifications & Skills
· Strong knowledge of perennials, plant care and horticulture practices
· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
· Comfortable using Excel for tracking and reporting
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· Ability to work weekends and extended hours during peak seasons
· Previous greenhouse or nursery experience preferred; management experience a plus
