Here at Landon’s Greenhouse, Nursery, and Landscaping we have five different departments: store, production, nursery, perennials, and landscaping.
Store:
The store staff are responsible for greeting customers, answering questions related to merchandise and plants, answering phone calls, knowing and following store policies, locating items for customers, cleaning/organizing the store, and handling payments from customers.
Production:
The production staff are responsible for the day-to-day operations of our growing facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, unloading plants and plant material, stocking, watering, and planting. This job is predominately inside our back growing greenhouses. This person needs to be able to stand for most of the day, be organized, and pay attention to detail.
Nursery:
The nursery staff are responsible for the day-to-day operations in the tree and shrub retail area. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving, unloading, stocking, watering, and direct sales with customers. This job is mostly outdoors. This person needs to be able to stand for most of the day, lift over 50 pounds, be organized, and pay attention to detail.
Perennials:
The perennial staff are responsible for the day-to-day operations in the perennial retail area. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving, unloading, stocking, watering, and direct sales with customers. This job is mostly outdoors. This person needs to be able to stand for most of the day, be organized, and pay attention to detail.
Landscaping:
The landscaping staff are responsible for plantings and pruning trees and shrubs, bed cleanouts, laying pavers and flagstone, irrigation, laying sod and seed, and decretive retaining walls. This person needs to be able to stand for most of the day, lift 50 pounds or more, be reliable, work well in a team setting, be organized, and pay attention to detail. This job is completely outdoors with 10-hour days.
