OUR ROOTS
1979 – Landon’s Greenhouse was founded by Jack
and Kathy Landon on four acres Northeast of Bighorn, Wyoming.
2001 – the current retail store was built on College Meadows, across from Sheridan College. As the retail space expanded, our growing & production operation remained at the old property Northeast of Bighorn, on Landon Lane.
2013 – Landon’s expanded the landscape department, by adding a second crew.
2015 – Landon’s Greenhouse expanded into Gillette. Our Gillette store is 1,500 square feet and is open in spring for roughly 10-11 weeks. Gillette is stocked 3 days a week with fresh material from our growing and production operation in Sheridan.
2020 – the entire growing and production operation was moved from Landon Lane and was rebuilt behind the retail store, on College Meadows Drive. With 7 greenhouses, we now have 29,400 square feet of growing & production space!
2021 – we built a 3,500 square foot building for storage.
2022 – we added 2,280 more greenhouse growing and production square feet.
Current owners Keith & Jennifer Kershaw have been a part of the Landon’s since 2012. They both have over 20 years of experience, being in both the wholesale and retail sides of the Horticultural world. Keith grew up in Sheridan and was grateful to get back to his hometown and continue working with plants. The Kershaw’s are the 3rd owners of Landon’s in over 40+ years of making our mark in Sheridan and the surrounding areas.
Landon’s Greenhouse continues to support our family (staff) in attending trade shows, visiting vendors, going to workshops and striving for certifications in our field. This is what sets us apart. People have come to trust and depend on us for our experience and knowledge.
